HOW TO ACHIEVE THAT HOLIDAY VIBE AT HOME

Have you heard of Lisa Messenger? Who hasn't! She is the game-changing CEO of The Messenger Group, as well as founder and editor-in-chief of the  Collective Hub.

She also has this amazing bungalow in Sydney's Northern Beaches called the Collective Retreat.

Her Interior Designer Crystal Bailey asked us to take part in reviving Lisa's bungalow into a luxury Boho Luxe retreat for guests and YES!  they take bookings to hire.

We said yes of course  and Crystal transformed this home in just 4 days!
Crystal loves to create calming spaces using plenty of textures and neutrals throughout. Strong elements of timber, natural fibres and white feature throughout the home and the floors have been stained white to keep that fresh holiday beach vibe. I cant go past a white floor - (not sure how practical they are though?)

Crystal used our natural looking wool rugs  throughout the home to add textures and comfort to each room.
She fell in love with our Natural Braid Rug in the bedrooms and used the Taupe Round and Rectangle Braided Rugs in the living areas. These rugs are made with NZ wool and extremely hard wearing for high traffic areas, so will be perfect in a holiday rental.

QUICK, EASY AND CHEAP  TRICKS TO GET THAT HOLIDAY VIBE

BEDHEADS - Use bamboo screening from Bunnings or a local garden shop

BESSA BLOCKS - Use blocks to create a console. Use as is  or paint them white. Cement together for safety

HANGING SHADES - Use baskets and wall hooks above the bedsides. Don't even need an electrician.

CURTAINS - Calico or white cotton sheets - tied to a black rod. (although I do like a bit block out on holidays!)

WHITE - Paint old pots white  and fill with dried palm leaves or pampas grass.

Most of all keep a similar palette throughout the home.

What do you think, time for a holiday?

Love,
