1.RETURNS: 

We know that buying online is difficult when choosing colours and designs, so feel confident in your purchase with Larry’s 100% 14 Day Money Back Guarantee.

If you find you are not “happy as Larry” with your purchase please email us info@ohhappyhome.com.au

For a change of mind the customer is responsible for return shipping to our warehouse in WA.   We accept returns and exchanges within 14 days of purchase. Items must be returned in as new state, unsoiled and with tags attached. 

We can also organise for you a courier to collect your parcel and hopefully at a cheaper rate.

Pre- Orders or Custom orders that have been made for you especially can not be refunded. An exchange or credit note will be offered on pre-orders. Custom orders can not be refunded or exchanged. 

International customers must be prepared to pay return shipping to our warehouse in Australia for a change of mind. Custom orders can not be refunded or exchanged. 

 

3. SHIPPING 

We use a variety of couriers and Australia Post for our deliveries.
Some of our larger rugs are very heavy and cannot be couriered by a standard courier. Shipping is added for our heavy rugs as some of these rugs weigh 25kgs plus and need special freight liners. Lengths over 3m attract higher fees.  
At this stage we can not ship very heavy rugs internationally. 
 
You will be informed via email your tracking number.  
We cannot ship rugs to a PO BOX. Please supply an alternative address. 
 
Remember we ship from sunny PERTH so please allow up to 10 days for your delivery. We aim to post all orders within 2 days of purchase.
 
International rates start at $18 AUD – please email us to clarify shipping rates before you purchase if unsure. 
 

4. CLEANING YOUR WOOL RUG 

Wool is naturally flame retardant and holds up well to daily wear and tear. Our rugs contain New Zealand wool giving it a soft and superior feel. Wool is naturally dirt and liquid repellant and is relatively easy to clean.

The cleaning of your rug:

Your rug will benefit from regular vacuuming and a shake to remove dust particles.

Your wool rug should not be used in wet areas.

If you happen to spill liquid we suggest you tap off the liquid as quickly as possible. Then using a damp cloth mop up any excess fluid in a dabbing motion. Soapy water can be used. Do not soak  or rub violently but continue to dab until the stain is soaked up.

It is almost always best to engage the services of a professional carpet & upholstery cleaning company if the stain is stubborn or needs a thorough clean. To get a really expert job done entrust the work to a carpet cleaning company.
 
Tell your cleaner to use low water pressure and to clean on a non- porous surface in case of any colour leakage.

5.CLEANING WASHABLE COTTON RUGS

Our cotton washable rugs can be washed in a domestic washing machine. Use cold setting and a delicate wash. Hang out to dry and vacuum as per normal to fluff up your rug. Make sure your machine is larger enough - space in the machine is required to give a good wash and not damage the fibres. 

Larger cotton rugs may not fit in a domestic washing machine and can be taken to the laundromat or drycleaners. Please visit our blog for detailed washing instructions.

Rug Sizes and Approximate Weights 

Make sure your machine is large enough with space for your rug to move around. 

Wash bath mats on their own as well. 

120 x 180cm 3-4kgs - needs at least a 5-6kg machine

150 x 210cm -6-7kgs - needs at least a 9kg machine

200 x 300cm - 10-12kgs - needs at least a 15kg machine

Trouble Shooting: 

If the fibres have balled up and look rough this means your machine is too small. Wash it again in a larger machine and the rug should spread out its fibres again and be all soft and fluffy. Placing your rug in a dryer on low setting will also help to fluff up the fibres. 

 

6. MY RUG SMELLS 

Every now and then we find that rugs can sweat in the plastic bag causing condensation and the rug to smell. If you find your rug is smelly place out in the sun for 4-6hrs. A wash with vinegar will also help remove the smell. These steps usually takes all the smell out of the rug.

It it continues to smell please contact us as this is not normal. 

 

7. VACUUMING THE WASHABLE RUGS 

Be careful not to over vacuum thinking it will remove all the lint. Over vacuuming causes damage to the soft fibres. It is normal to experience some pilling initially but will settle. Vacuum only once a week and shake in between. Vacuuming more will not speed up the process. 

They are a lightweight rug so vacuuming needs to be made in the same direction. 

 

 8. MY BASKET IS OUT OF SHAPE

Our fresh and fabulous basket will be flat packed and will need some life breathed into it. The good news is that the care instructions are simple.

Soak the basket.This can be done in the sink, bath or under the shower.Work the reed.

The reed becomes malleable when soaked.

 Work them gently and start forming the basket into the shape you desire.

We find that a round and symmetrical finish looks the best.

Leave it out in the sun to dry.

Once you’re happy with the shape simply leave it to dry, preferably somewhere with decent drainage so that water doesn’t pool underneath (which will slow down the drying process).

9.LAYBY TERMS

We now offer Afterpay and Zippay - You will receive your order and can then pay your order in instalments. Afterpay has low limits so please contact us to arrange an instore layby of 6 -8 weeks. 

 

10.CUSTOM ORDERS 

Yes we usually custom make rugs. Please email us to enquire. Rugs typically custom rugs take 8-12 weeks to create and we require a 50% deposit to start your order. Unfortunately we can not refund custom orders.
